Biological technologies (biotechnologies) ensure controlled production of useful products for various areas of human activity based on the use of the catalytic potential of biological agents and systems that have various levels of organization and complexity – microorganisms, viruses, plant and animal cells and tissues, and extracellular substances and cell components. Small and medium-sized businesses of the cluster - producers of a new generation functional food, biologically active additives, therapeutic food, texturized vegetable proteins, functional compound products, importers of animal proteins, phosphates, plant fibers and distributers of products to the end user pursue their activity in this area.

It is worth noting the activity of ZAO Partner-M which implements a number of innovative projects relevant for the cluster including those implemented at the Center of Extrusion-Type Technologies created jointly with the Russian Research Institute of Meat Industry (Moscow). Having the most powerful equipment in Russia (for textured plant-derived ingredient market) the company occupies a lead position in a given field both in terms of sales volume and product mix.

ZAO Biotechnological Complex ROSVA is implementing a project for the construction of a biotechnological complex in Vorsino industrial park to produce the following range of products:

• gluten
• glucose-fructose syrup
• commercial starch
• food additives;
• glucose monohydrate;
• sorbitol;
• vitamin C.

Implementation of the project based on new solutions will enable not only to achieve the maximum degree of innovativeness of the project but also to produce competitive products both in terms of quality and cost.
